About Me

Art has always been a part of my life, ever since I can remember I have been creating art. Art was an all consuming activity in my youth, but after I had children, it seemed that art didn’t fit into my world in the same way. But the desire was always there and it eventually took over my life again…becoming a need more than a desire. I believe the ability to draw is like any other skill, if not used you will lose it. That was my experience when I tried to draw again, so my husband who is a very talented photographer suggested that I give photography a try….so, enters my adventures into photography.

Artists have a unique way of seeing the world, it is their vision that creates the art not the medium they choose to express it with. No two artists will see the same thing in the exact same way. It is the most beautiful form of flattery to have someone see your art and find its beauty! It connects you on such an intimate level. I am hoping this blog will speak to anyone who has the desire to explore their artistic side.

There is an emotional connection and a healing property in the creation of art. Most artists fall into the category of highly sensitive personalities…and with this personality comes a struggle emotionally to fit into the world. I find the struggle particularly difficult and have struggled my whole life, art was my emotional balm. If you find yourself here, I hope the journey and the art processes I share with you here will help you with your struggles to fit in. Our journey may not be the same, but maybe our paths will cross with the understanding that we are not alone in our struggles.
